Comedy has been around since the stone age... when folks used to sit around the fire and knock each other down with their story telling.  Quite literally at times! :-)
While it has been one of the most  popular forms of entertainment, it is also one of the most difficult to do well. There are a few key elements that makeup comedy, and if any one of them is missing, the joke will fall flat... which is exactly what seems to be happening to our cinema unfortunately!

So this week we are discussing why good comedies seem to be a thing of the past in Hindi cinema. We hark back to the days of the simple yet long standing comedies made by stalwarts like Hrishikesh Mukerjee, Basu Chatterjee, David Dhawan....
